When Copper Moon Coffee launched our new, “Out-of-This-World” branding and website in January 2020, our goal was to encourage our customers to “Reach for the Moon®.” With these four words, we refocused our mission and commitment to go above and beyond a tagline. We are both dedicated to roasting excellent coffee and inspiring others to do otherworldly things. Or even just the one thing that helps get them out of bed every morning. We believe, if we can give others the fuel to achieve their goals, that means we’ve achieved ours.
With this in mind, we have identified a few like-minded organizations with this same dedication to giving people hope and purpose for another day. One newest stargazing partner, Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana (OKI), literally goes above and beyond to grant wishes for every child diagnosed with a critical illness. The national organization is now in its 40th year of fulfilling hopes and dreams. Together with people just like you, they have granted more than 500,000 wishes nationwide.

Recently, Copper Moon Coffee had the opportunity to sponsor the first-ever, Make-A-Wish® Indiana Hope is Essential Virtual Gala. The event was live-streamed on both Facebook and YouTube, and we are happy to announce that through the Virtual Gala and Silent Auction, our regional chapter was able to raise over $470,000 for local wishes. And although the Virtual Gala has concluded, there is always an opportunity to give hope to children in need.
Due to the pandemic, funding for wishes has dropped… but childhood illness isn’t stopping. Every 20 minutes, another child is diagnosed with a critical illness. Let’s help close the gap to ensure wish kids get the support they need during this critical time.
