Copper Moon Coffee is a commercial coffee roastery in Lafayette, Indiana. We source, roast, package, and ship coffee for customers all over the country. Our customers include those in wholesale, retail, and online markets. We also brew and serve our out-of-this-world coffee at several world-class cafés in Lafayette and West Lafayette.



The Café Manager is responsible for providing primary leadership to Copper Moon Café locations. Required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the store(s). This role will be responsible for supervising, directing the workforce, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing financial performance and overseeing safety and security of the store(s) and team members. Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
  • Sets a positive example for the store team
  • Displays a customer first attitude by training and holding all team members accountable for delivering a high level of customer service
  • Manages with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, mission and values of Copper Moon Coffee
  • Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations
  • Provides coaching and direction to the store team to take action and to achieve operational goals
  • Develops strategic operational plans for the store(s)
  • Monitors staffing levels to ensure team member development and talent acquisition
  • Provides coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities
  • Conducts performance assessments and manages ongoing performance of team
  • Utilizes and demonstrates effective management principles and practices to create and maintain a successful team

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to lead, teach, and coach team members
  • Ability to communicate effectively using technology
  • Friendly, outgoing personality able to market our brand and share the CM story
  • Comfortability managing store operations independently

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years QSR management experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality or Food Service
  • Serv Safe certified
  • SCA certifications are preferred
  • Passion for coffee
  • Understanding of Accounting
  • History of working with POS operating systems

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to carry 25 pounds
